I see no point in being with someone you cannot be your authentic self with. Go enjoy life!

Travelling would have been really fun. Nothing better than a partner who is also your best friend

I love my 223 and i also recently bought a little 22 Scout, Absolutely love it. It does a great job on our property, which is narrow, long and is full of giant boulders. Need to be selective with the 223 here.

Amen Eve! i 100% agree.
You need to find someone who is on your level and you actually enjoy being with...which you would assume would be the standard of marriage...but apparently not.

I am like you and blessed with an incredible Husband.
We travelled Australia for a year and a half in the same car with 2 dogs and didnt even fight once. Just vibes.

Exactly Sting. I did not hunt before I met my partner but had gone ferreting. My first shot was a head shot on a rabbit, I have loved hunting ever since. I always want to go out hunting haha.

I see so many guys posting in hunting groups bitching about their wives because they will not let them cut some meat up inside, go out for a hunt etc or try to stop them hunting... why dont they just bloody date someone else? Life is too short to be that miserable and controlled. My partner could bring the whole deer inside, hek I will help ya if I am not the one bringing it inside 🤣

Hopefully one day we get there as a society!

Yeah, men like that just make me angry honestly, it goes against what i think is right.

Incredibly typical of a male dominated hobby unfortunately.

You would think that they would just marry someone who is into similar things. Instead of creeping.

04:47:05 Yeah, i'm a guy lol
I use a 30-30, it brings most things down with a good shot.
And that's a bit disgusting honestly.

It indeed is but I love the cold so no complaints from me haha. In fact, I wish it snowed here

Definitely is *-*

Aussie
What gun have you been using?

Mum's home made pumpkin soup:

1kg Pumpkin
1 Medium sized sweet potato
1 Brown onion
2 Large Carrots
Cream to taste (Optional)

Chop it all up, put it in a big pot, fill with water to just above the veggies.
Season with cracked pepper.
When the veggies are soft whizz it up with a hand-held blender stick thing, and add the cream.

Variations: Adding other seasonings like oregano or garlic. Adding other vegetables like leek, regular potato, peppers. etc.

I love this recipe because as is it's so simple to make, 1 chopping board, 1 knife, 1 pot, 1 ladle, and the blender. But it's one of those recipes that everyone can add their own flavour to. Just be sure to keep it >50% pumpkin or it becomes a veggie soup. I love it in winter with some buttered toast. It makes quite a lot, I think 6 serves, so I have it for dinner, then lunch, then dinner. It's one of those comfort foods that tastes best with stormy weather outside.

Yummy Cheesecake Brownies

Ingredients

Cooking spray

Cheesecake topping: 8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchatel) 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 large egg

Brownie Layer: 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped 3 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 tablespoons canola oil 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt Pinch cayenne pepper 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup lowfat buttermilk 2 large egg whites 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Position the rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Line an 8 by 8-inch baking pan with foil so it hangs over the edges by about 1-inch. Spray with cooking spray.

Cheesecake topping: In a medium bowl and using an electric mixer at medium speed, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute. Beat in the sugar and the vanilla until very smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. Beat in the egg until well blended. Set aside.

Brownie layer: Put the chocolate, butter, and oil in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat at 75 percent power for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave again until melted and smooth, about 30 seconds longer. (Alternatively, put the chocolate, butter, and oil in a small heatproof bowl. Bring a small saucepan filled with 1 inch or so of water to a very slow simmer; set the bowl over, not touching, the water, and stir occasionally, until melted and smooth.)

Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and cayenne in a medium bowl.

Combine the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Whisk in the buttermilk, egg whites, and vanilla. Add the chocolate mixture and whisk vigorously until fully incorporated and the batter is thick and glossy. Gradually add the flour mixture and stir just until it disappears.

Reserve 1/2 cup brownie batter and set aside. Scrape the remaining brownie batter into the prepared pan. Pour the cheesecake mixture evenly over top. Drop the reserved brownie batter in large dollops over the topping. Draw the handle of a wooden spoon through the two batters to create a swirled effect.

Makes sixteen two inch squares

Bake until the top is just set, 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Lift brownies out of the pan by the foil and peel off the foil. Spray a knife with cooking spray and cut into 2-inch squares.

Super Yummy Cheesecake!

Ingredients

15 graham crackers, crushed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup milk
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch springform pan.
In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press onto bottom of springform pan.
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk, and then mix in the eggs one at a time, mixing just enough to incorporate. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour filling into prepared crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn the oven off, and let cake cool in oven with the door closed for 5 to 6 hours; this prevents cracking. Chill in refrigerator until serving.

Fool proof oven-steamed fish.

Ingredients:
Just about any fish (I've used smoked cod, salmon, and barramundi)
Tomatoes
Onion
Lemon juice
Pepper
Or anything you think will go with fish, really.

Get a large sheet of aluminium foil and place your piece of fish in it, then bend up the edges so the lemon juice doesn't run out. (alternatively for large or whole fish put the fish in a baking dish and cover with foil)
Top your fish with sliced onion and tomato. Add some cracked pepper and pour on some lemon juice (I usually use half a lemon per portion).
Wrap up your fish into a parcel making sure there's no where for the juices to escape.
Bake in the oven at 180C (350F) for at least 25 minutes or longer for larger fish. You really can't overcook the fish this way, unless you're trying to overcook it. ;)

Awesome Cream Cheese Whipped Cream

2 8 ounce cartons of heavy whipping cream
1 8 ounce block of cream cheese
2 1/3 cups of powdered sugar

Chill a big bowl and metal mixer blades in freezer for 10-20 minutes. place all ingredients in bowl and mix on high (you will get some flung on you lol so dont wear something nice!) I would say, mix for 6-8 minutes. You will love the little cream cheese chunks that are in it.

I love this stuff. I just eat it with a spoon. I did try to make a pie with it, it was pretty good. It doesnt freeze too well. But I will remedy that some day.
