boulder the only way we can afford 2 horses + 7 ponies and a menagerie of other creatures is that my mother trims their feet herself(and has done corrective trimming for 3 of them) and uses some natural remedies for minor issues.
luna yeah, not only are we moving to a ranch with a hay field, but we're also taking over a friend's business so he can retire. He grows organic forage and usually yields 600-ish bales a year. And he sells 'em for $15 a bale.

boulder as someone whose ponies are getting up there in age(2 being 25+) it's really sad to see. And yes, people tend to hyperfocus on 'This sad puppy who needs X amount to save his life!' than 'these x amount of puppies who only need food and a family to save many lives'.
Hummer, I'm supposed to be getting my first horse from a friend who's gifting him to me. But at this rate, I dont think I'll ever be able to afford to give him everything he needs and then some.
Boulder, it's sad and true. It gets depressing. A game shouldn't be stressful. It should help people get away from the stress of real life. But now it's become very stressful here too because of the economy crashing in game also
The ones that are heartbreaking are the 27+ year olds that are being sold 'due to no fault of their own' Because people can't afford the Promised Forever Home.

Watching Rescues fundraise over and over to save the Killpen Horse or spend $$$$ on a puppy with Parvo - when that money that it costs to save one animal in vet bills, could have gone to house and successfully rehomed how many others.
