Smokey means she has creme, it's like buckskin in bay or brown buckskin in brown. In combination with one creme gene the pearl gene becomes visible and leads to this colouring. If she didn't have the 'smokey' gene she would just look like a normal black with a hidden pearl gene

Definitely hunter braids! If we had western horses, banded would have been awesome. I couldn't find a way to see the different braids available… so I won't vote.
