Me too! I own the whole collection of Alan Gratz's books. Refuge was awesome and awe-inspiring. I wish I knew this Author in real life, because I would probably ask so many questions he'll be the age of one hundred by the time I've finished, ha!
It definitely helps me learn from the past, too. Like, the Nazis, for instance. What they did to Jews was unacceptable and untolerable and they should be punished. But, guess what? There are no more Nazis, thank the lords, but also means no punishing. Plus, the Nazis that are still around are, like, ninety, so...yeah. Good luck with that.
I wonder why they shot a Jews head every day at the concentration camps? Why?What did the Jews ever do to them--live? Believe in prosperity with God's love and notion? Why on Earth is that even considered a reason to hurt them? It's just torture at that point. It makes me so, so, so angry. (Refrains from using Caps, LMAO>) |
