About Us

Go Go Gatsby Designs, LLC

Formed in 2009, Go Go Gatsby Designs, LLC strives to create the best browser based games on the net. Horse Eden Eventing is our first release. It emerged from alpha test in August 2009 and has been well embraced by the public. The game itself is a work in progress and is frequently updated with new additions to improve game play. We are available to do contract work for small to medium sized projects.

Eve (Deborah Nothdurft) - Founding Member of Go Go Gatsby Designs, LLC and Creator of Horse Eden Eventing

I've been a professional programmer for many years in a corporate environment. On top of my love for programming and SIM games, I'm also an avid NFL fan (Cleveland Browns), horse fanatic, biology and medicine geek, and music nut. I owned a Trakehner gelding named Gatsby for several years and we trained and showed in Dressage and Hunter/Jumper. I ran a couple alternative rock and punk internet radio stations for a several years. Music is the life force that drives me. I also spent time DJing on my stations. I was a presenter at Siminar 2010, to help aspiring game developers learn the ropes of game development. My programming skill set includes:

Unix scripting, Awk, C, C++, Java, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, Tuxedo, HTML, XML, CSS, Perl, PHP, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MySQL, Web Development (LAMP), Tibco products, Rational products, Mercury products. Informatica, Object Oriented Design, Coding, and Modeling.

Stina (Christina Gray) - Graphic Designer and Moderator

With a B.A. in Economics, my true passions are horses and art; I designed the horse images for HEE, rider vectors, and header. I work in finance to support my horse habit, and subsidize by creating graphics for web and print. I am also a pro-am photographer, my work can be seen on various websites and at corporate technology events, and my photography has been published in National U.S. equestrian publications. I never go anywhere without one of my four cameras, and my pen tablet has a permanent place on my kitchen table.

I have been riding since I was 5 years old and have competed on the U.S. AA-rated circuit up to the Jr./AO Jumpers. Currently, I own an Irish Sport Horse, Creggan, who was the inspiration for my stable name on HEE.

I am self taught in Adobe CS4 and Quark as well as CSS/HTML. My specialties are Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Equine Sports Photography. Things I cannot live without are my MacBook Pro, iPhone, Canon EOS camera, electronic music, and of course my horse.

Harlequin Raven (Harlequin) - Genetics Student and Moderator

I am your local avian, raptor dinosaur, and equine fanatic. I am working on my degree in biochemistry in order to pursue a PhD in molecular biosciences with a focus in genetics. I am unsure as to what my specialty will be, but viral and evolutionary genetics are both very fascinating subjects for me. I am pretty sure I live off of academia! In fact, I tend to be happiest when in classes (or with my horse).

I ride and own an off the track thoroughbred bay gelding named Tomcat (AKA Tommy). He is the love of my life, and the goal is to train him for dressage and probably eventually 3-day. I also have two cats (Kirby and Tails) and two gerbils (Puck and Katara).

As the names of my animals may have clued readers in, I love video games and anime as well as SIM games. Due to my tight schedule with balancing full time work and classes, I have to limit my entertainment time, but I am still always willing to help with HEE or genetics questions!

I also love music, and I have a very wide range of tastes in music. From pop to punk, from alternative to classical, from celtic to video game music. I can usually be found with earphones in my ears, including when I am studying!

I have been around horses all my life. I started riding when I was 18 months old (thanks to my aunt) and haven't quit yet. Though I went to school to get my Equine Technology degree, I actually work full time as a paralegal, wife and mother of a beautiful son. I have trained numerous horses from halter breaking, foal imprinting all the way up to kid broke. Though now that I'm a mother, there will only be ground work training for me from now on. I actually love doing ground work with horses. I spent the last few years playing various sim games until Horse Eden Eventing was opened. My favorite breed of horse is the smooth Paso Fino. I have been a member of the Paso Fino Horse Association for the past 5 years, even though I've never owned one, and do various volunteer work for the Virginia Region of PFHA as well as run a website dedicated to the rescue of Paso Finos.

Unfortunately for me, I do not own any horses right now, selling my last mare when my son was born. I do own a mutt named Jebus though!

Although I have never been lucky enough to own a horse or take lessons, I have an undying passion for horses. My first choice of majors in college was going to be equine husbandry. The basic equitation class I took was the closest I've been to regular lessons. Our final for the class was participating in a show where I placed 3rd behind 2 girls who had been riding since they were little. My lifetime wish is to own a Freisian (or 20). Dressage and Show Jumping are my favorite equestrian sports.

I never finished my degree in Equine Husbandry, instead choosing to go with my second passion, computers. So I have a B.S. in Information Technologies as well as a CompTIA A+ certification. I currently work as a data/technical support specialist.

My dog of 12 years, Fitz, passed away in Sept of 2009. Now I am owned by 2 six year old cats: Shadow (a male black & white DSH) and MiniMe (a female Calico DSH) who are litter mates.
